About
Marta Carillon is a multi-dimensional musician currently based in London.
Born in Poland and trained at the prestigious Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Marta’s singing career began in childhood when she partook in vocal competitions and even toured the country as part of the popular Dyskoteka Pana Jacka (Disco of Mr. Jack) TV series at the age of 9.
Since then Marta has performed in several musicals around Europe, including credits in Cinderella and The Phantom of the Opera, and advanced her singing / song writing career through work as a theatre production soloist, session musician, musical director and vocal coach at her own vocal school, Vocarillon. These diverse artistic experiences all contributed to Marta arriving at what is now the foundation of her artistic philosophy: simple is beautiful.
This mentality is, in many ways, the essence of Marta’s first original full-length album, Flying in Silence. Born out of Marta’s desire to close the chapter of her life in which she mostly performed art made by others and explore her own compositional talents, Flying in Silence came to fruition via a successful Kickstarter campaign during the fall of 2013. The result is, as Marta puts it, “10 original songs about personal life experiences and discovering the truth about myself” that were recorded at London’s famous The Premises Studios.
Flying in Silence’s first single, “Crystal Cube”, has been released independently on 8th of April and is available digitally.
The entire Flying in Silence album is due out Nov 14th 2014.
